Should a dry fruits pack show MRP?
Packs you weigh in front of the customer are often labelled with the weight, rate and price, like this label. Packs made ahead to sell later usually need a pre-packed label, with the MRP, net quantity, packing date and packer’s address. Check the Legal Metrology and FSSAI rules for how you sell. For an MRP pack label, use the MRP and net weight label.
Can I print labels for 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg packs?
Yes. Change the weight and price and print again, or save one design per pack size. On Pro you can print from an Excel sheet with one row per pack.
Is the barcode for supermarkets?
It holds your own item code, such as BDM-500, so you can scan packs at your own billing counter. A barcode for supermarkets needs a number from GS1 India; use the MRP sticker with barcode for that.
