    What is the MRP sticker format?

    An MRP sticker usually shows the product name, the MRP in rupees with “incl. of all taxes”, the net quantity, who made or marketed it with their address, and the month and year of manufacture or packing. Many products need more, such as a best before date, a batch number or a customer care line. Check the rules for your product, such as Legal Metrology and, for food, FSSAI.

    Can I print many MRP labels or labels with different batches?

    This free page makes one label at a time. In Tamvya you can print many labels on A4 sheets or a label roll, change batches and dates for each print, keep your products and print to label printers.

    Does the barcode on my MRP label get checked?

    Yes. A retail barcode (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A or UPC-E) is checked with the same rules as the Tamvya app, including the check digit, and the page says when the label is too small for GS1’s barcode sizes. Use a number your business owns, and scan a printed label before you print many.

    Is anything I type uploaded?

    No. The label is made and turned into a PDF in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Tamvya or anyone else.
